The wrong
sealer for the job.
There are different concrete sealers for different jobs.
You need to research and know what sealer is needed for what job.
There are hundreds of concrete sealers on the market today and
every day there are more added to the list.
For one concrete sealer to cover all application is
impossible. So do your research. (there are no miracle sealer available
yet.)

Preparation and
application may have not been done right.
Different concrete sealer require
different prep work.
Even though you may have followed the direction correctly
sometime the prep work or application needs to be altered due to the
the conditions of the concrete.
There are many variables involved in application of
concrete sealers like humidity, temperature, porosity of the concrete,
removal of previous sealers, proper cleaning, and the shape the
concrete is
in. Remember
you
can
not
make
bad
concrete
good.

Customer
expectations vs. product performance.
Sometimes the customer expect
more than what the product can perform.
A lot of time the concrete sealers are working properly
but the customer has just expected more of it. which refers back to
using the right sealer for the right job.
Be careful of pay check concrete sealers they are concrete
sealer that last as long as it takes for your payment to clear the bank.
Investigate, research and know the product you expect to
use and sometimes it is best to hire an expert, someone with plenty of
experience with concrete sealers.

How to hire a
contractor or buy a product
Here are a few tips.
- Ask the contractor why they like the product
there are using.
- Ask them how long they have been using the
product.
- Tell them you don't care what the manufacture
say about there product but why they feel it is a good product.
- Ask them if they have went back and checked on
past customer or jobs and how there customers feel about the products
they use. A lot of manufactures and contractors base customer
satisfaction on the fact they haven"t gotten any complaints.
- Call for references and don't base info
on DATA
SHEETS they can be misleading and try to get references
that are more than a year old.
- Don"t fall into the ASTM
number games and
controlled environment testing.
- Make sure to ask the contractor, distributor,
or manufacture IF THE PRODUCT SHOULD
FAIL WHAT IS MY WARRANTY AND DO YOU KNOW OF ANY CASES WHERE YOUR
PRODUCT HAS FAILED. Make sure to get it in writing!!!

Here
is an example of a job done by a professional contractor. On this job a
penetrating sealer was used that was applied incorrectly. They assured
the customer it was done correctly and that it would get better with
time.
The problem is there was not enough sealer applied to the floor.
(This is a new building and the owners have not taken possession
yet.)

What Makes CDP

I can not claim that CDP Concrete Sealers are better than

products on the market. But as a manufacture and applicator I can say
